Cartons

The moment we hear the word “packaging”, the first image our brain draws is of a corrugated cardboard box, or simply called a Carton box. It’s virtually impossible to go about everyday life and not encounter corrugated cardboard boxes somewhere. With this product so abundantly seen everywhere, most end users wouldn’t be able to tell between 2 main types of paper that are generally used for the liners. These are known as Kraft and Test liners.
Kraft liner, also called Virgin paper is made from trees with softwood. Its fibers make it the strongest and most easily printable paper.
Its fine surface and smooth texture makes it the first choice of carton manufacturers to be used as the outside liner when customers demand not just a packaging solution but an aesthetic one.
Let’s talk about Test liner. It is actually a double layered, recycled paper which is not as strong as Kraft, or easy to print on. Hence, it is used for the inside of a carton box which is not visible to the end user. Since, it is less costly that Kraft liner, those who buy bulk quantity for storage and shipping request the whole carton, inside and outside made out of Test liner.
